I'll be probably phasing out this blog now that our new site - trakax.com is live and we've integrated a blog within the site.
Be sure to check it out for all your multimedia needs. Download the free trakAxPC software to create sophisticated and fun music and video tracks. Need royalty-free content? See the trakPacks section for an extensive library of loops and beats starting at US$1.99 for bundles of 10 sounds.
Most exciting of all is trakAxMobile - create ringtones, photo slideshows, videos mixes with soundtracks and narrations - all from your mobile device!
Thanks as always for dropping by.

My Nieces and Nephews - a little vid for my homesick brother
I made this little movie for one of my brothers who lives over in Melbourne, Australia. His family are over here in Ireland for a few weeks over the summer (catching up with their grandparents/aunts & uncles) and he won't be able to join them for another month - so thought he might appreciate seeing the kids!
As always all the video has been captured by my phone and mixed with the M-Ax Studio (TrakAx Mobile) on my cellphone. Little videos like this probably show the capabilites of the application much more than a slick production probably ever could - how often have you taken some pics and videos with your phone, only to have them stay there for months without anyone ever seeing them.
Anyway - hope you enjoy (especially Paul - look forward to seeing you in a few weeks!).

PS. You can IM me now using the Meebo widget on the right! I'm online alot (no life!), so send me a quick message.

M-Ax Studio for Touchscreens
The M-Ax Studio is not just for mobile phones, it is also available for handheld touchscreen devices, such as iPaqs/ Axims/ pretty much any PDA that you might have. Touchscreens always give you an extra level of functionality and the M-Ax Studio for touchscreen devices is no exception. Because all the functions are selectable from the screens, you can have tons of fun just exploring the app and finding new tricks and neat little features to really spice up your mixes.
To see how the application works on touchscreen devices, check out the video below:
Some screenshots of the application in landscape mode:
Assignment Screen - this is where you decide what you would like to mix

Mixing Screen - this is where you get to have fun

Save Screen - save your mix and share it with the world!

Hows does this M-Ax Studio work then?

You may have been wondering how this M-Ax Studio actually works - well I hope that maybe you were. Well, it's actually pretty simple. The mobile application has three simple steps that enables you to create surprisingly complex and sophisticated mixes normally associated with the PC environment. In the first step you PICK what content you would like to mix (we find all your content for you - who ever knows where all those video folders are?). You then MIX your content - what's different, is that we give you complete control. Add audio, mute the volumes, bring in your videos and photos when you would like, add effects and transitions - it's up to you. Then, you can SAVE AND SHARE your mix with the world - YouTube, mySpace, Bebo - whatever's your thing.
Anyway, you can check out our site to learn more - there are demo videos, so you can see a mix being created in real time with the M-Ax Studio.
Click here to see the M-Ax Studio for Smartphones
and here for the application for touchscreen devices..
Let me know your thoughts and if you have any questions on the application, please just post your comments or contact me directly.
Thanks,
C

One Day (hour!) in London
I was over in London on Friday and had an hour early in the morning and a half hour that evening to see some sights - so like the good tourist I am, I took some videos and photos. I always forget how many cool things there are to see in London and it was a really beautiful morning to stroll around. Not exactly the definitive guide to the city, but I only had a very short time; check out my M-Ax Studio mix below (think I may have managed to fit in every London cliché possible, with the exception of a London bobby!):
